Academic is very important in life. I think it determines your future. If you are advance in your academics you have better choices of what you want to be when you are an adult. What choices you have to get there. My mother says all she wants for my brothers and I, is to get the best education we can, to prepare us for a better life.
When I was 3 years old, my mother put me in preschool. She felt I was advance for my age and that school would be fun and entertaining for me. It was because I enjoy playing with my friends. Pre-school kept me busy and I learned a lot before I started preschool.
I went to a Catholic private school for elementary and the only I liked about that school was religion. Most of my teachers were okay but sometimes I did understand my teachers and I felt like I was not learning at the right level. I felt that private schools did not have all the service needed like one on one tutoring or many other programs that the LAUSD offered.
I went two different high schools. First I went to an alliance school. I think that they are good schools but I do not like how strict there rules are. There academics are very good, well I thought they were pretty demanding. If you fall back in any grade it is really hard to catch up. My mother liked the school but she did not like some of the rules that the alliance school offered. That is why she transferred me to West Adams; I feel less pressure here because LAUSD offers different courses to help your grades.
My goal is to graduate and go to a university. I would like to experience the college life. I am not sure what I want to be as an adult but I do know whatever it is I will try to do all in my power to be perfect in it and enjoy it. I know academics plays a major rule in it.
